Proposal System Top Page>

Please read the following instructions carefully before preparing your proposal.
- For the safety and legality review, please describe samples you intend to bring to MLF in this proposal as much as possible. (detailed information)
You will be requested to submit a list of samples and chemicals separately after your proposal is approved.
- If you intend to bring equipment for the experiment, please provide the information on the equipment in this proposal as much as possible (detailed information)
The safety review team will conduct the risk assessment. If your proposal is approved, you will be requested to submit the detailed information for reviewing the safety of the equipment.
- In case of neutron experiments, irradiated samples/equipment may be activated. To avoid spreading out the activated samples, powder samples, liquid samples, or gaseous samples must be sealed in sample cells (containers). The irradiated liquid and gaseous samples must be disposed at MLF in principle (the irradiated powder samples are negotiable to be brought out to your laboratory).
- As a rule, you are responsible for the removal of all materials except for activated samples/equipment, which must be stored in MLF until their radioactivity drops below the required value by the regulation.

For experiments being conducted first time at MLF or conflicting with the regulations above, we strongly recommend to contact instrument scientists for your requested beamline(s) and discuss the technical aspects of the experiment before writing the proposal.
